Motor and Gear Box

Changing the Motor Lubricant

Remove the gear motor assembly from the melter.

Use only the stated lubricant or one that has proven to be equivalent
(refer to

Lubricant Selection

). Using any other lubricant can result in

premature wear and/or damage to the gear box.

Drain lubricant when warm.

Properly dispose of the old lubricant according to local regulations.

CAUTION!

Never mix different types of lubricants.

Lubricant Changing Interval

Operating temperature < 100

C / 212

Every 15000 hours of operation or at least every 4 years.

Lubricant Capacity

Ensure that the upper gears and rolling bearings are properly lubricated.
