Instructions Manual
9
Personal safety as well as
other people’s is one of
our major concerns in the
design and development
of a machine. However,
every year there are a lot
of accidents that could
have been prevented. They
happen mainly due to lack
of attention and observation
of safety rules during the
operation. Read this manual
carefully and keep alert all
the time.
Never operate the machine
if you are under the effect
of alcoholic beverages,
medicine or drugs that might
harm your alert state or your
coordination.
Wear Personal Protective
Equipment – PPE – when
you operate the machine.
Prolonged exposure to noise
might cause harm or hearing
loss.
Dress appropriately when
you operate the machine
– tying long hair and not
wearing loose-fitting clothes
is recommended. Take off
rings, necklaces and other
objects that might get
stuck in the machine parts
or moving components.
Loose-fitting clothes and
long hair might get caught
by mechanisms in operation.
PERSONAL SAFETY
Make use of appropriate protection
on hands and eyes when you check if
there are any high-pressure leaks in the
hydraulic system. Use a piece of wood
or a card instead of using your hands
to isolate and identify a hydraulic fluid
leakage.
In case you have been injured by high-
pressure hydraulic fluids, seek medical
help immediately. Serious infection or a
toxic reaction might occur when hydraulic
fluid gets in contact with the skin surface.
Remember: moving components due
to inertia keep moving for longer even
when the machine is turned off. Before
you touch any machine parts, turn off
the power supply, check and listen if
there is no evidence of movement. Only
touch any machine components if you
are absolutely sure that it is stationary.
Always be alert!
Do not support the machine on concrete
blocks, hollow bricks or any other
supports that might crumble by the
effect of extended loads. When necessary,
always use a safe support.
Possible alterations in the machine might
compromise its safety, in addition to the
people involved. In this case, the user
is the only responsible for occasional
accidents.
