First Steps

Charge the Battery

The D3X is powered by an EN-EL4a rechargeable Li-ion battery
(supplied).

The EN-EL4a is not fully charged at shipment. To maximize
shooting time, charge the battery in the supplied MH-22 quick
charger before use. About two hours and twenty-five minutes are
required to fully recharge the battery when no charge remains.

Plug the charger in.

Insert the AC adapter plug into the
battery charger and plug the power
cable into an electrical outlet. All lamps
will remain off.

Remove the terminal cover.

Remove the terminal cover from the
battery.

3

Remove the contact protector.

Remove the contact protector of the
quick charger’s battery chambers.
