8.14.6.4 SFB polish size adjustment
1 . Display the menu screen (see 8.1.1 [p167]) .
2 . Press [SFB adjustment] on the menu
screen.
3 . Perform adjustment so that the SFB polish
widths for the lens front and rear are 0.3
±0.1 mm and there are no polishing marks
or burns on both surfaces.
1 ) Press the SFB constant Front, Polish
field.
2 ) To increase the safety bevel width for
the lens front, decrease the parame-
ter value.
3 ) To decrease the safety bevel width
for the lens front, increase the
parameter value.
4 ) Enter the value with the numeric keypad, then press the Enter key .
5 ) Press the SFB constant Rear, Polish
field.
6 ) To increase the safety bevel width for
the lens rear, increase the parameter
value.
7 ) To decrease the safety bevel width
for the lens rear, decrease the
parameter value.
8 ) Enter the value with the numeric key-
pad, then press the Enter key .
9 ) Press [Exit] to return to the layout
screen.
4 . Confirm the polish SFB size (see 8.14.6.3 [p240]) .
5 . Repeat the adjustment until the following
conditions are met.
1 ) The polish SFB widths are 0.3 ±0.1
mm.
2 ) There are no polishing marks or
burns on both safety-beveled sur-
faces.
6 . After adjustment, perform the following.
1 ) Backing up the EEPROM data (See 8.19.1 [p284].)
