8.14.6.3 SFB polish size check
1 . Display the menu screen (see 8.1.1 [p167]) .
2 . Press [SFB adjustment] on the menu
screen.
3 . Confirm that the SFB settings are as fol-
lows:
1 ) Select the front flat tab to
confirm that “Small SFB offset” is set
to +0.20.
2 ) Select the rear flat tab to
confirm that “Small SFB offset” is set
to +0.20.
4 . Load the ø45 internal data (see 8.3
[p175]) .
5 . Select the processing conditions as fol-
lows:
1 ) Lens: CR39
2 ) Frame: Nylor
3 ) Mode: Flat
4 ) Polish: Polish (SFB)
5 ) SFB: Small
6 ) Layout: Active
6 . Process the lens.
Safety bevel amounts set on the screen differ from actual
ones (those indicated by “A” and “B” in the right figure).
When offset is +0.20 and ratio is 0, the A width is 0.30
mm and the B width is 0.30 mm. Changing offset in 0.1
increments changes the A width in 0.14 mm increments
and the B width in 0.17 mm increments.
When the front or rear lens edge thickness is not suffi-
cient after grooving or beveling, safety bevel amount may be reduced or safety beveling
may not occur.
