Location Helper
A location helper function has been incorporated into the dialog, assisting the user in setting
correct values for position (latitude / longitude) and UTC Time Zone offset. Selecting the
Location button provides the user with a pop-up dialog for entering location information to be
used by a Geo-coder in doing a search. This information generally consists of street addresses,
city names, zip codes, county names, state names, and country names used in any combination
depending upon how specific a search is desired. The results of the search are used in
conjunction with the Date and Hour values to calculate the correct UTC Time Zone offset and
Latitude / Longitude values when possible.
NOTE: To make maximum use of the Location Helper, ensure the Date and Hour values have been
specified prior to invocation, since they are used to correctly ascertain the UTC offset. However, the UTC
helper function can be used to recalculate the UTC offset as a situation warrants.
Map
The map helper can be used to visualize the position information entered by the user or
extracted by the Geo Lookup helper. Upon selecting the Map button, the default web browser is
activated and directed to Google Maps for the target latitude / longitude specification. Internet
access is required for this feature to function.
