The test also measures the operating temperature of the LEDs. The LEDs are temperature
controlled to ensure consistent output power. A green head-temperature indication means the
LEDs are operating at the specified temperature. The unit typically takes 15 minutes to reach
nominal operating temperature. The LEDs’ temperature is controlled whenever the unit is
powered. The LEDs do not need to be illuminated for the temperature to be controlled.
The self-test reports any error conditions from the head.
D – Spectrum Control
The spectrum control section allows the user to control each wavelength individually in the
head. There are a total of 19 independent wavelengths in the LSH7520 LED Head. The display
shows the wavelengths in the LSH7520 and the current power set point. The spectrum created
by the user can be saved into memory by selecting a memory storage location Custom 1-10 and
pressing the Store button. The Spectrum can recalled by selecting the memory location Custom
1-10 and pressing the Read button.
Memory location AM 1.5 is reserved for the AM1.5G factory stored spectrum. The user cannot
store a new spectrum in this location.
Once a spectrum is defined the user can adjust the output proportionally for all wavelengths
simultaneously by adjusting the Spectrum Power slide bar.
