3. INTRODUCTION
The battery backup system provides constant and reliable backup power to critical electronics. It consists of the Uninter-
ruptible Power Supply (UPS) System and optional Manual Bypass Switch (AC-UPS-BP) that provides backup power when
the line is unqualified. These components should be mounted inside an enclosure to provide protection from most weather
conditions. A separate battery string is required.
