7.1 Mode Selection and Node Number
The NBS Controller Interface Software allows users to identify the controlled
fermentor/bioreactor by assigning it a name and a
NODE NUMBER
(Multidrop Address or
Unit ID).
To set or change any of these components:
1. From the
CONFIGURATION SCREEN
( see Figure 4 ), click on the
CONTROL MODE
or
NODE NUMBER
text boxes. Clicking in either box will display the
LOCAL CONTROL
SETUP WINDOW
:
2. The default value for the
CONTROL NAME
is BioCommand . If you wish to change it,
click in the text box and proceed with Step 3. If you do not wish to change it, skip to
Step 4.
3. If you have clicked in the
CONTROL NAME
text nox, the
RENAME MODE
dialog box
will appear. To clear the text out of the text box, click on
Clear
. The
CONTROL
NAME
can be blank. If you wish to leave the process name blank, press
OK
. This will
return you to the
LOCAL CONTROL SETUP WINDOW
where you can also change the
NODE NUMBER
. If you wish to give the process a name, type a name in the text box
and press
OK
.
