The user should respond to the alarm condition by:
•
Acknowledging the alarm, to stop the flashing outline and silence the beep (if the
audible alarm is enabled).
•
Eliminating the alarm condition by (a) correcting the cause, (b) changing a setpoint
and/or (c) changing the alarm settings.
To acknowledge an alarm:
1. From the
MAIN DISPLAY SCREEN
, press the Alarm button.
2. The
ALARMS SCREEN
will appear.
3. Click on the loop for which the alarm was triggered.
4. The
ALARM STATUS SCREEN
will appear. The alarm type, either Low or High, will
appear next to the word Status .
5. To acknowledge the alarm, click on the Acknowledge checkbox.
6. Click on OK to return to the
MAIN DISPLAY SCREEN
.
7. The red outline around the control loop display gauge will remain in continuous (non-
flashing) mode until the condition that triggered the alarm has been corrected.
