M1295-0050 Scale Interface Box User’s Guide
To replace the batteries inside the Scale Interface Box:
1. First, follow the procedures for Saving the Configuration to disk (see Section 9.1).
You must do this first because, if power is cut off to the Controller with no batteries
installed, the configuration will be erased.
2. Turn the Scale Interface Box upside down. Ensure that the
PLUG-IN TRANSFORMER
remains connected to the
POWER JACK
, and power is being supplied to the
CONTROLLER
.
3. Unscrew the Phillips head screws inside the black rubber feet.
4. Gently turn the Scale Interface Box over, lift the cover up and remove it.
5. The
BATTERY HOLDER
is on right side of the inside front panel of the Scale Interface
Box. Remove the old batteries.
6. Observing the polarity markings on the
BATTERY HOLDER
, replace the batteries with
new size AA 1.5V alkaline batteries.
7. Replace the cover by inserting the tabs at the front of the cover under the front bezel.
Set the edges of the cover into the bottom cover.
8. Push the cover down until it snaps and locks into place.
9. Turn the Scale Interface Box over.
10. Replace the Phillips head screws into the black rubber feet and tighten them.
11. Turn the Scale Interface Box back over and stand it on its feet.
NOTE
:
If the Controller configuration is erased during this procedure, follow the
instructions for Loading a Controller Configuration (see Section 9.2) to
restore the configuration.
WARNING!
As you perform Step 4, remember that power is still being supplied
to the Scale Interface Box. Be extremely careful to avoid personal
injury or damage to the equipment.
