Node Type
This pulldown menu allows you to make one of the following selections:
•
Auto Detect.
The wireless access point checks the connectivity to the default
gateway via wired Ethernet to determine the node type. If there is connectivity to
the default gateway, the wireless access point states its node type as gateway.
Otherwise, the wireless access point states its node type as node.
•
Wired
. The wireless access point must be wired to provide public network
access to other wireless nodes.
•
Wireless
. The wireless access point searches wirlessly for the best gateway or
node in order to gain public network access.
AES passphase
The encryption passphase for AES encryption to secure the data between APs.
