3. In Windows XP system, identify the Local Area Connection of Intel® 82579LM Gigabit

Controller and click the Configure button.

Click the Power Management tag, and configure the following two options accordingly.

Wake on Magic Packet

Nuvo-3100 series can wake from S5 state when receiving a magic packet. The

magic packet is a broadcast frame containing anywhere within its payload 6 bytes

of all 255 (FF FF FF FF FF FF in hexadecimal), followed by sixteen repetitions of

the target computer's 48-bit MAC address.
