2.2.7 DVI/HDMI Connectors
Nuvo-3100 series supports triple independent display outputs via a DVI-I/HDMI connector
(front panel) and two DisplayPort connectors (back panel). The DVI-I connector on the front
panel offers DVI/HDMI and VGA display outputs. The DVI/HDMI output can be either DVI
signals or HDMI signal depending on the display device connected and support up to 1920
x 1080 resolution. The VGA output supports up to 2048x1536 resolution.
For VGA monitor, Neousys offers a dedicated DVI-to-VGA adapter as an accessory
shipped with Nuvo-3100 series. This adapter supports VGA DDC signals and thus
eliminates compatibility issues with VGA monitors. Or you can use a DVI-I to VGA+DVI-D
Y-cable to support two independent display outputs.

Due to the limitation of Intel® QM77/HM76 PCH, the feature of triple independent display
outputs is only available via the configuration of DVI+DispDisplayPort or
VGA+DispDisplayPort. You also need to install corresponding graphics driver for
Windows XP/7/8 to enable this feature. Please refer to section 4.4 for information regarding
driver installation.
Note
If you want to connect to a VGA monitor via DVI-I connector, please use the DVI-to-VGA adapter
shipped with Nuvo-3100 series. Some off-the-shelf DVI-to-VGA adapters may have incompatible
pin definition and cause compatibility issue with DVI-I output of Nuvo-3100 series.
