Explanation of Suggestion Messages for Optimization

If a picture file can be displayed by the terminal, the following message is

displayed:

“

The appointed picture file can be normally displayed on the telephone.

“

The picture files that can be displayed by the terminal are those which meet the
following conditions:

- Files whose formats can be displayed by the terminal (file formats marked by

6.5.1 Picture File Formats Supported for Wallpaper on page 6-45

- Files where the picture size is less than or equal to the screen size
(240 pixels x 320 pixels).

If you create an audio file of the format supported by the terminal by yourself, it is
recommended to adjust the volume with optimization.

If a picture file that can be displayed by the terminal via optimization is

specified, the following message is displayed:

“

The appointed picture file has the following problems. Please click an

optimization button in order to solve a problem.

“

In addition, the details are displayed in red.

1. Part of the picture which is over the dotted line is not displayed on the

terminal.

[Cause]
The picture file exceeds the screen size (240 pixels x 320 pixels) of the
terminal.
[Optimization process]
The portions outside the dotted frame displayed in the picture image
are deleted.

2. The picture data storage form as Top down cannot be displayed on the

terminal.

[Cause]
The data storage format of the bitmap picture file is Top down.
[Optimization process]
The data storage format is converted to Bottom up.

3. Bit depth is 32 bit or more cannot be displayed on the terminal.

[Cause]
The bit depth of the bitmap picture file is greater than or equal to 32
bits.
[Optimization process]
The bit depth is converted to 24 bits.

4. The drawing form of Progressive cannot be displayed on the terminal.

[Cause]
The drawing format of the JPEG picture file is Progressive.
[Optimization process]
The drawing format is converted to Baseline.
