METHOD OF ADJUSTMENTS

2. VIDEO PWB adjustments

2-1. Adjustment of chroma signal level (adjustment of AN5390)

(1)

Enter an HD 16-gradation gray scale signal input in DVD/HD/DTV.

(2)

Select an HD input by the use of an input changeover switch of the remote control or the CTL PWB.

(3)

Assume the factory adjustment mode with the remote control and select the U-COL of [D CONTROL
HDTV].

(4)

Connect an oscilloscope to Pin 3 of the MN connector. At that time, adjust the U-COL until the ampli-
tude of the video signal section attains 1.4Vp-p between the pedestal and the white peak as shown in
Fig. 2-1.
(At that time, however, the MN connector is required to have been terminated at 150W. The MAIN
PWB is required to be connected.)

Set the input signal at the HDTV 100% color bar.

(6)

Press the cursor key [^] or [v] of the remote control to select [COLOR] or [TINT].

Press the cursor key [<] or [>] so that the waveform appearing at the oscilloscope is adjusted as shown
in Fig. 2-2.

Set the input signal at the 100% color bar of 480P.

(9)

Press the cursor key [^] or [v] of the remote control to select [COLOR] or [TINT].

(10) Press the cursor key [<] or [>] so that the waveform appearing at the oscilloscope is adjusted as shown

in Fig. 2-2.

(11) Set the input signal at the 100% color bar of 720P.
(12) Press the cursor key [^] or [v] of the remote control to select [COLOR] or [TINT].
(13) Press the cursor key [<] or [>] so that the waveform appearing at the oscilloscope is adjusted as shown

in Fig. 2-2.

(14) Set the input signal at the 75% color bar of DVD.
(15) Connect an oscilloscope to Pin 1 of the MN connector. Press the cursor key [^] or [v] of the remote

control to select [COLOR] or [TINT].

(16) Press the cursor key [<] or [>] so that the waveform appearing at the oscilloscope is adjusted as shown

in Fig. 2-3.
