CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
VIDEO PWB
1. AUDIO block
The AUDIO signal input sent from M1008 to M1010 is controlled and selected by IC1001 (MM1311BD; AUDIO
VIDEO SW) under the control of I2C bus.
The selected AUDIO signal is output from the AB connector to the AUDIO PWB through IC1005 (BA4558:
BUFFER).
2. VIDEO block
The external VIDEO input signal is controlled and selected by IC1001 (MM1311BD; AUDIO VIDEO SW) under
the control of I2C bus.
In IC5203 and IC5205, signal changeover is effected for this external VIDEO signal and also for the Y/C signal
processed by frequency Y/C separation, the Y/C signal processed by ternary Y/C separation, and the Y/C signal
(VIDEO3) in the case of the S terminal input. IC5203 is in charge of system changeover for the Y signal, while
IC5205 performs system changeover for the C signal.

2-1. Ternary Y/C separation (for NTSC)
The VIDEO signal input entered in Q5201 is band-pass limited at FL5201. Compensation for the level and
frequency characteristics is then carried out at the AMP (Q5202/5203) at the latter stage. The resultant
output is generated from Q5204 and entered in IC5210 at 1Vp-p.
The same signal is processed for sync separation in Q5223 to Q5225 and its output is entered in IC5210. In
this IC5210, ternary Y/C separation is conducted through interface with IC5206. The Y signal is generated
from Pin 84 and the C signal output is generated from Pin 83.
The Y and C signal inputs are band-pass limited at FL5202/5203. The resultant output is then amplified at
the latter stage and its input is entered in the SW circuit of IC5203 and IC5205.
