Installation 

IMPORTANT:

 Turning off the power of the NEC 

Express server and the power unit of the Device 

Expansion Unit before connecting the SAS interface 

cable. Connecting the SAS interface cable with either or 

both of the power of the NEC Express server and the 

power unit of the Device Expansion Unit being on may 

cause some malfunction or failure. 

1. 

See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" to prepare.(See page 26) 

2. 

Engage the connectors of SAS cables with the SAS connectors on the rear face of 

the Device Expansion Unit. 

 

3.
