Installation 

Install the power unit in the following procedure. 

1. 

Make preparation according to the description in page 26. 

IMPORTANT:

 Turn off the powers of the NEC Express 

Servers and that of the Device Expansion Unit. Then 

disconnect all the cables from the Device Expansion 

Unit. Before the top cover can be removed, the power 

cord must be removed from the Device Expansion Unit. 

Save the removed AC inlet dummy panel carefully 

2. 

Remove the top cover. 

3. 

Remove the AC inlet dummy panel from the rear face of the Device Expansion 

Unit.
