Removal Procedure

Remove the Device Expansion Unit from the rack when installing or removing the 5.25-inch

device or N8181-54F power unit.
The Device Expansion Unit should be removed from the rack by more than one person.

CAUTION

Always observe the following cautions to enable you to use the Device

Expansion Unit safely.

Failure to follow these cautions may cause personal injury including burns

and/or physical damages. See the description on pages vi through xvii for

details.



Do not attempt to carry or install the Device Expansion Unit only by yourself.



Do not pinch your finger.



Take care of high temperature.



Do not pull out a device from the rack if the rack is unstable.



Do not extend more than one device out of the rack.

After confirming that the power of the NEC Express server is set to OFF,

disconnect the power cable and SAS cable connected to the Device Expansion

Unit.
