Top Cover

Before installing or removing the 5.25-inch device or N8181-54F power unit, the top cover

should be removed.

Removal

See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" to prepare. (See page 26)

Pull out the Device Expansion Unit from the rack.

Loosen the screw on the front of the unit. Slide the top cover to backward and

remove it.

IMPORTANT:

Turn off the powers of the NEC Express

Servers and that of the Device Expansion Unit. Then

disconnect all the cables from the Device Expansion

Unit. Before the top cover can be removed, the power

cord must be removed from the Device Expansion Unit

Installation

To install the top cover, fix it by using screws after confirming that the tabs of the top cover

are inserted into the main frame securely.
