Remove the protective cover from the CPU socket.
Tips
Protective cover is sometimes installed on the plate of CPU socket.
Important Keep the protective cover for future use. Always attach the CPU protective cover if
the processor is removed from the socket.
7.
Put the additional processor on the CPU socket slowly and gently.
For easy installation, hold edges of processor with your thumb and index fingers so that the notch is
aligned with the key on the CPU socket.
Important
•
Be sure to hold the processor only at the edges. Pay attention not to touch the
bottom of the processor (pin section).
Note
•
Insert the processor while aligning the notch on the processor with the key section on the
CPU socket.
•
Bring down the processor straight without tilting or sliding it in the socket.
8.
Lightly push the processor to the CPU socket, and close the plate.
