changes to the LS8500-4's configuration settings, you must explicitly unlock the settings 
before any changes can be made. 
Unlock Command:

 *LOCKED=0<CR>

 

Relock Command: 

*LOCKED=1<CR>

 

After unlocking the settings with 

*LOCKED=0<CR>

, you can change settings.  If you try to 

change setting without unlocking the LS8500-4, the changes will be ignored. 
The LS8500-4 will automatically re-arm the Setting Lock after 1 minute.
