6a. Enter Product Name and Serial Number
Wait at least 20-25 seconds. The PXE PROM boot is now completed. To
complete this step, follow the procedures below.
1. Press any key to continue.
2. Press Enter key to enter the Product Name Information entry mode.
3. Input the Product Name Information in the format
‘XXXX-YYYY-ZZZZ’ (See Note*6).
4. Press Enter key to terminate the Product Name entry.
5. Input the Serial Number Information in the format ‘XX-XXXXXX’ (See
Note*7).
6. Press Enter key to terminate the Serial Number entry.
Note*6: The Product Name Information is located on the NCR Class/ Model/ Serial
Number label on the lower cabinet of your workstation. The format of the
Product Name Information is as follows:
‘XXXX’ is the Class Number and must be all numeric characters
‘YYYY’ is the Model and must be all numeric characters.
‘ZZZZ’ is the Sub-Model and can be alpha characters or digits.
You must include the hyphens in the input or enter exactly 12 characters.
To enter a hyphen character (‘-’) with the 80 key or 176 key POS keyboard,
follow the procedures below:
1. Press and hold down Alt key.
2. Press ‘4’ and ‘5’ keys sequentially on the NUM PAD.
3. Release the Alt key.
Note*7: The Serial Number Information is located on the NCR Class/ Model/ Serial
Number label on the lower cabinet of your workstation. You must enter the
leading 2 digits followed by a hyphen in the input or enter exactly 10 digits.
