Caution
If you do not feel confident performing the following procedure on your NC, send
the NC to a qualified service center.
Installing additional memory is a four-step procedure described in detail on
the following pages:
1. Disassemble the
NC

The only tool you need is a small flat-blade screwdriver.

Low profile (maximum 1.1 inches (28 mm) tall). Use tin-plated

Board thickness of 0.047 inches to 0.054 inches (0.050 inches (1.27
mm) nominal). Installing
SIMMs
that are out of specifications
might damage the
SIMM
slot or cause the
NC
to behave
erratically.
