REFRIGERATION
The Refrigeration Phase (Diagram 2)
Following carbonation, the water travels through the cooling coils immersed inside a
thermally insulated plastic water chiller bucket containing the ice bank. The refrigeration
system is controlled by a thermostat device that regulates the temperature of the water inside
the chiller bucket which then controls the start and stop of the compressor. The temperature
sensor is connected with the thermostat and it is immersed in the water inside the chiller
bucket. The thermostat can be manually adjusted depending on the desired temperature of
the water.
3.4 Technical Information
The
Natura
®
Water Dispenser is made up of
two separate units
enclosed in a stainless
steel sheet metal casing:
o
One is the
Water Filtration Set
that contains two stages of filtration. The first stage is
for filtering sediments and other particles present in the water. The second stage is the
carbon filter which eliminates chlorine taste and odor from the water.
o
The second unit is the
Refrigeration & Carbonation Unit
that is made up of a
compressor, a fan, agitator, water chiller bucket (or ice bank) and stainless steel coils
for cooling the drinking water. It also includes the section for making sparkling water:
the carbonator tank, high pressure water pump and motor.
The
supply
of treated water
is dispensed by three faucets with levers situated in the upper
front area of the machine. (1) The green handle or button is for treated, cold sparkling
(carbonated water); (2) the blue handle or button is for treated cool temperature water; and
(3) the white handle or button dispenses treated room temperature water.
The unit comes complete with stainless steel spillage collection tray or drip tray.
