National Instruments Direct Injector Driver System Manual

Note:

NI does not recommend leaving DHCP mode for the DI Driver System controller because the IP address may

change each time the system is powered. Each time the IP address changes, the

Search for CalVIEW Target...

dialog must be opened within the CalVIEW console to locate the system on the network. If the system controller

network interface is in DHCP mode, and the controller is not connected to a DHCP router, the controller will default

to a link-local IP address of 169.254.X.X. If this happens, a connection with the system can still be established via

direct, "point-to-point" if the Windows PC LAN IP address is configured to a similar IP address, but different in the

last address number. If the system controller is allowed to default to the link-local address, follow the instructions

above for
