causes the command format to be printed to the screen;

enables color support (default for color monitors);

sets monochrome

enables expert mode, disabling

ibconf

warning messages.

Levels of ibconf

The

ibconf

utility operates at the following four levels:

•

Input Selection level—determines which configuration file

ibconf

reads.

•

Map level—depicts the device connections as defined in the driver.

•

Description level—consists of screens describing the individual boards and
devices that make up the system.

•

Output Selection level—determines which configuration files are to be
updated.

The four levels are described in detail in the following sections.
