2.4
Selecting skilled personnel
Only properly skilled personnel, expert in handling the belting material, who are familiar with the ac-
companying application and know how to make endless splices, may operate the tool.
Make sure that only specified personnel used the tool.
2.5
Safety information for operating the tool
Make sure the tool is only used if all safety devices are available and function properly.
The tools do not have their own protection devices against electrical overload, which can for exam-
ple cause fires. For this reason, the operator must ensure that the electrical installations at the place
where the tool described is operated, are protected from overload from the tools.
2.6
Safety information on handling
Take suitable measures to ensure that all leads and screws in the tool described are checked regu-
larly by appropriately trained personnel. If during an inspection or between two inspections, faults in
leads or screws are established, these must be put right immediately.
Should there be disruptions in the supply of electricity, switch the tool off immediately.
2.7
Portable/mobile tools (general)
Before changing location disconnect the tool described from the external power supply.
Make sure that the tool described is reconnected properly to the power supply before it is re-used.
Take suitable measures to ensure that no parts of the tool can fall off or loosen while the tool is be-
ing transported.
Make sure that the tool is not dispatched or transported before it has cooled down.
Ensure that general safety regulations are observed when dispatching or transporting the tool.
2.8
Safety information on service and maintenance
Make sure that all components required for service and maintenance are loosened or dismantled and
are screwed on firmly or fitted properly so that safe operation is guaranteed.
Repairs on electrical equipment on the tool must only be carried out by a qualified electrician accord-
ing to electrical engineering regulations.
