6.3
Heating up the heating clamp
1. Insert the thermometer in the measurement drill hole.
Tip
Please open the heating clamp a little bit for inserting the thermometer in the drill
hole, the same process is for removing the thermometer.
2. Connect the heating clamp with the mains supply.
3. Heat up the heating clamp when closed to the adjusted heating temperature (approx. 10 min.).
Tip
For the heating temperature please see the splicing instructions for the splice
type.
6.4
Inserting material in the splicing guide
Insert the belt ends to be spliced in the splicing guide (3). The splice guide must correspond to the
width of the material (see following figure).
1.
Insert the end of the material in the bottom part so that the splice lies in the centre between
the black markings.
2.
Push the splice tightly together.
3.
Fix both ends of the material with clips.
4.
Cover the splice with the pressure platen without clamping on the pressure plate firmly.

Inserting the splicing guide in the heating clamp
Caution
Caution – hot! Risk of squashing fingers! Avoid touching the heating plates
and only touch the tool by the handles.
1. Open the heating clamp with one hand.
2. Put the splicing guide in the middle.
3. Close the heating clamp.
4. Move both the clips on the splicing guide so that the heating plates, both ends of the material
and the bottom part are fixed as a unit.
