Handling
6.1
Preparing belt and heating clamp
A few steps must be carried out before operating which will be outlined in the correct order.
Procedure for preparing belt and heating clamp:
1. Establish the parameters for the belt to be fabricated (see data sheet/splicing instructions for the
belts).
2. Set the required heating temperature on the thermostat.
3. Prepare the belt according to the splicing instructions.
4. Select the right splicing guide for the belt width.
5. Prepare the following accessories:

6.2 Setting the heating temperature
1. Put an empty splicing guide into the heating clamp.
2. Insert the thermometer in the measurement drill hole.
3. Connect the heating clamp to the mains supply and let them heating up approx. 10 minutes.
4. Please observe the heating temperature by means of the inserted thermometer.
5. Adjust the heating temperature on the thermostat with a screw driver.
6. Disconnect the heating clamp from the mains supply
7. Remove the thermometer.
8. Remove the splicing guide carefully.
Caution
Caution – hot! Risk of squashing fingers! Avoid touching the heating plates, the splicing
guide and the pressure plate at all and only touch the tool by the handles. Wear
gloves!
9. Cool down the heating press and the splicing guide (up to approx. 40°C).
