This section describes basic operations and precautions of MTS Exceed 22 series
of metal pendulum testers.

Checks and Preparations Before Use 52
Pendulum is the impact device that swings under gravity.
Before operating the MTS Exceed tester, please check whether the
pendulum has been securely connected.
When the tester is working, no one is allowed to approach or work in the
pendulum's scope of swing, to avoid dangers.
Do not operate the MTS Exceed tester in the absence of shields.
There are rotating parts within the equipment.
Such moving parts will be exposed if the equipment is operated in the
absence of rear shield. Once you touch these moving parts, you may be
injured or even dead.
