Electrode Placement Paresis
For walking execises in programs 13-16 it is recommended using the included self-adhesive
electrodes, since these are better protected against accidental slipping during movement. These
programs contain only short biphasic pulses, in which skin-irritation is minimal.
When using programs with longer pulse widths (> 500 µs) we recommend to work with rubber

since long monophasic pulses are used.
Regarding placement of electrodes for the treatment of peroneal palsy or for gait-training, two
different methods have been proven.

was also designed for the treatment of the following forms of paresis.

The device can also be used for the treatment of facial paralysis. Since the bony anchorage
of the muscles in the face is only weak there is an associated risk of over exertion. For this
reason we recommend to use only low current intensities and to place the electrodes only in
accordance with the detailed instructions of an experienced physician. A general placement
recommendation is not given here.
