Unpacking and Set-up
1. Remove shipping straps,
shipping box, and other boxes
from the pallet.
2. Remove the shipping bolts
and mounting straps with a
crescent or 7/16” end wrench.
3. Slide the stretcher bed off the
pallet. To move equipment, lift
only from the equipment’s main
structure. Recycle packaging.
4. Temporarily install the Hand
Control in the arm spline following
the Hand Control instructions or
set the hand control in safe place
for later installation.

5. With the back and seat
sections of the stretcher bed in
the flat position, center the back
portion of the seat/back cushion
on the back section of the
stretcher bed while holding up
the seat portion of the cushion.
6. Lower the seat portion of the
seat/back cushion into place and
ensure that the ball stud enters
the mating hole in the seat
section of the stretcher bed.
7. Attach the foot cushion by
aligning the ball studs to the
receptacles and pressing until all
4 snap in place.
8. A. Loosen the knob on the
back of the back section of the
stretcher bed.
B. Insert the headrest lock
mechanism into the slotted
opening in the top of the backrest.
C. Tighten the knob on the backrest.

9. Loosen the knob on the
articulating headrest mechanism
and rotate it forward as shown.
Remove the knob on the back of
the headrest. Insert the headrest
into lock mechanism. Reinsert
knob, position headrest as desired,
and tighten both knobs.
10. Plug in the hand control into
the hand control jack on the
patient’s right hand side of the
stretcher bed. If applicable, plug
the foot control into the jack on
the opposite side.
Battery Powered Operation
11. Note: Battery should be
fully charged prior to use. See
“Charging” on page 20. After
charging, insert the battery into the
holster in the back of the stretcher
bed with the label facing out.
Mains AC Power Operation
12. Insert the power cord at the
base of the stretcher bed. Press
firmly until it bottoms out. Plug
the opposite end of the power
cord into an appropriately marked
receptacle.
