1 PROPERTIES AND APPLICATION
The optimal design of the electric Procat series hoist with an electric driven motor
is based on all our previous experience with MSW brand hoists. This space saving
product is easy to use and guarantees stable operation. The hoist is powered by
single phase 230V/50HZ alternating current and finds broad range of applications. The
device has a stable structure and is designed to lift and lower loads with simultaneous
traversing. It is mainly used in factories, mines, landing areas, warehouses, processing
facilities and large construction sites. Once mounted, the device is ready for use.
2 MAIN ELEMENTS OF THE HOIST
1. Motors: The motors are single phase. Highest quality B class insulation was ap-
plied and a stop function is included to perform an emergency stop of the hoist,
guaranteeing safety and reliability.
2. The construction of the single phase motor makes it possible for the hoist to
carry out an immediate emergency stop.
3. Transmission: two gears, toothed wheel and steel bearings. The motor and the
transmission are the main elements of this device. The housing is made out of
an aluminium alloy using a pressure casting method. The structure is extremely
stable and visually aesthetic.
4. The drum and the load bearing stricture: The cable is made out of top quality
steel and is coiled in the drum. The drum is mounted on an external bearing. The
support structure is made out of top quality steel in order to ensure stability
when lifting heavy loads.
5. Pulley system: The hoist lifting capacity increases if a sheave pulley is used.
6. Control panel: The control box comprises four buttons. Once an appropriate
button is engaged, the load is lifted up, and then horizontal traversing motion is
possible. Once the load reaches its maximum position, a limit switch will inter-
rupt the power supply, guaranteeing appropriate safety.
