Step 1: Selecting an installation location

guidelines to help you select an appropriate
location.

Near animals or plants that will be harmed
by hot air discharge
Near any source of combustible gas
In a location that is exposed to large amounts
of dust
In a location exposed to a excessive
amounts of salty air
In a location that exposes the unit to large
amounts of forced water

Where snowfall is anticipated, raise the unit
above the base pad to prevent ice buildup
and coil damage. Mount the unit in a position
high enough to be above the average
accumulated area snowfall. The minimum
height must be at least 18 in (457.2 mm).
NOTE: Install the unit by following local codes and
regulations. These may differ slightly depending
on the region where the unit is being installed.
