Similarly, when using an external antenna
(Antenna/Magnetic Mount Kit – P/N HKKN4022),
make sure that there is a minimum of 2 to 3 feet
distance for both the power cable and RF cable to
run straight from the repeater in order to assure
that performance is not deteriorated. (refer to
“Figure 7b. Repeater Cable Layout Using Mag-
Mount External Antenna P/N HKKN4022” on
page 18).
Note:
Double check that the Antenna’s cable
doesn’t tangle either around the repeater
device or the power supply. The power
supply cord also shouldn’t tangle around
the repeater device or antenna.
When positioning the repeater, make sure the
repeater antenna is placed away from
obstructions, metal structures or any objects or
enclosures (like elevators) that can cause any
type of shielding.
