3.4 Further settings via the
menu “System settings”
The settings that can be made via the setup
wizard are also available via the corre-
sponding menu items of the menu “System
settings” . This menu also provides ad-
ditional setting and display options . An
overview of the options provided by the
menu “System settings” can be found
in fig . 27 .
The menu can be called up from any oper-
ating mode: Press the button MENU,
turn the knob CONTROL SELECT to select
System settings
and then press the
knob to confirm . The menu “System set-
tings” will be shown:

For operation of the menu, the following
generally applies: To select a menu item
or setting, turn the knob; to call up a
menu item or to confirm a setting, press
the knob . To return to the previous menu
level, press the button BACK or, when in
a menu as shown in fig . 17, select the
field “CANCEL” and confirm .
3.4.1 Selecting the menu language

Select the desired language in this menu .
The following languages are available:
English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French,
German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Por-
tuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish .
Once the selection has been con-
firmed, the menu “System settings” will
appear in the language selected .
3.4.2 Display backlight

to set the brightness
of the display backlight when the unit
has been switched on . Three settings
are available:

(no display backlight) .
3) Use
Timeout
to set the time the unit
must be in standby mode until the dis-
play backlight changes to the bright-
ness setting of the standby mode .
Select the desired time or the setting

tings will appear again (fig . 24) . For
the user-defined sound adjustment
to take effect, select the line
