Command
Prompt
The
command
prompt
is
an
asterisk
(the
character
above
the
8
on
any
standard
PC
keyboard).
In
order
to
ensure
you
are
properly
connected
to
the
unit,
you
should
press
the
ENTER
key
on
your
keyboard
a
few
times.
You
should
see
the
following
echoed
to
the
terminal:

This
indicates
that
the
software
inside
the
unit
is
running
and
your
setup
is
sufficient
to
communicate
via
this
interface.
The
asterisk
is
never
actually
entered
by
the
user.
In
the
examples
that
follow,
it
will
be
shown
to
indicate
command
entry
at
the
terminal
and
is
only
included
for
completeness.

Startup
Message
If
you
are
connected
to
the
unit
prior
to
its
being
turned
on,
and
your
setup
is
correct,
then
you
will
see
an
initial
message
out
at
the
terminal
once
the
unit
is
turned
on.
It
should
look
like

The
elite
TM
generator
control
system
has
been
designed
with
simplicity
in
mind.
Therefore,
only
single
letter
commands
are
necessary
to
control
the
generator
and
obtain
data
from
it.
