8.1.1. Indoor unit power supplied fr om outdoor unit

S3 terminal has 24 V DC against S2 terminal. Howe ver betw een S3 and S1, these terminals
are not electrically insulataed by the tr ansfor mer or other device .
Notes: 1. Wiring size m ust comply with the applicab le local and national code.
2.Power supply cords and indoor unit/outdoor unit connecting cords
shall not be lighter than polychloroprene sheathed flexible cord.

3.Install an ear th longer than other cab les.
Caution:
Do not use anything other than the correct capacity breaker and fuse . Using fuse ,
wire or copper wire with too larg e capacity may cause a risk of malfunction or fire .
8.2.Indoor wire connection
Work procedure
1.Remo ve 2 scre ws to detach the electric component co ver .
2.Route each cab le through the wiring intake into the electr ic component box. (Pro-
cure power cab le and in-out connecting cable locally and use wired remote control
cable supplied with the unit.)
3.Securely connect the po wer cab le and the in-out connecting cable and the wired
remote control cable to the ter minal bloc ks.
4.F or radio frequency interf ace
Connect the electric wires securely to the CN105 (RED) of indoor controller board.
Connect the electric wires securely to the corresponding ter minals.
5.Secure the cab les with clamps inside the electric component bo x.
6.Attach the electr ic component cov er as it was .
• Fix pow er supply cable and indoor/outdoor cab le to control box b y using buff er
bushing f or tensile force . (PG connection or the lik e.)
W arning:
• Attach the electrical par t cover securel y. If it is attac hed incorrectly, it could
result in a fire, electric shoc k due to dust, water , etc.
• Use the specified indoor/outdoor unit connecting wire to connect the indoor
and outdoor units and fix the wire to the terminal bloc k securely so that no
stress is applied to the connecting section of the terminal bloc k. Incomplete
connection or fixing of the wire could result in a fire.

6 Wired remote controller
• Connect the terminal b locks as sho wn in the diagram belo w.
Caution:
• Use care not to make mis-wiring.
• Firmly tighten the terminal scre ws to prevent them fr om loosening.
• After tightening, pull the wires lightl y to confirm that they do not mo ve.
8.3.Remote contr oller
8.3.1. For wired remote controller
1) Tw o wired remote controller s setting
If two wired remote controllers are connected, set one to “Main” and the other to
“Sub”. F or setting procedures, ref er to “Function selection of remote controller” in the
operation manual f or the indoor unit.
8.3.2. For IR wireless remote controller
1) Installation area
• Area in which the IR wireless remote controller is not exposed to direct sunshine .
• Area in which there is no near by heating source .
• Area in which the IR wireless remote controller is not exposed to cold (or hot) winds.
• Area in which the IR wireless remote controller can be operated easily .
• Area in which the IR wireless remote controller is beyond the reach of children.
* The signal can tr av el up to approximately 7 meters [23 ft] (in a streight line) within 45
degrees to both r ight and left of the center line of the receiver .
