3.1. Securing installation and service space
•
Piping, wiring and maintenance must be carried out from the bottom and the
sides, so be sure to provide the space specified below. Furthermore, please
give consideration to workability and safety during installation hoisting, and not
only assure as much space as possible, but also refer to the accompanying
instruction manuals for each panel concerning details on panel installation.
•
When attaching a high performance filter, it is necessary to add +32 to dimen-
sions B (*2) and E (*1) of the bottom intake specifications.

Warning:
Be sure to install the unit in a location which can adequately support its
weight.
- If there is insufficient strength to support the unit’s weight, it could fall and cause
injuries.
3.2. Combining indoor units with outdoor
units
For combining indoor units with outdoor units, refer to the outdoor unit installation
manual.
4. Fixing hanging bolts
4.1. Fixing hanging bolts
(Give site of suspension strong structure.)
Hanging structure
•
Ceiling: The ceiling structure varies from building to one another. For detailed
information, consult your construction company.
•
If necessary, reinforce the hanging bolts with anti-quake supporting members
as countermeasures against earthquakes.
* Use M10 for hanging bolts and anti-quake supporting members (field supply).
1
Reinforcing the ceiling with additional members (edge beam, etc.) must be
required to keep the ceiling at level and to prevent the ceiling from vibrations.
2
Cut and remove the ceiling members.
3
Reinforce the ceiling members, and add other members for fixing the ceiling
boards.
4.2. Ceiling hole and hanging bolt positions
Ceiling Opening Hole and Sling Bolt Pitch
•
If a panel is used, use the gauge supplied with the panel so that the positions
of both the ceiling opening hole and the unit matche the dimensions in the
diagram below. Please refer to the instruction manual supplied with the panel
concerning how to use the gauge.
•
Use M10 sling bolts (continuous thread).

5. Installing the unit
5.1. Hanging the unit body
s
Bring the indoor unit to an installation site as it is packed.
s
To hang the indoor unit, use a lifting machine to lift and pass through the
hanging bolts.
s
Install the indoor unit before ceiling joist construction.

5.2. Confirming the unit’s position and fix-
ing hanging bolts
s
Use the gage supplied with the panel to confirm that the unit body and
hanging bolts are positioned in place. If they are not positioned in place,
it may result in dew drops due to wind leak. Be sure to check the positional
relationship.
s
Use a level to check that the surface indicated by

is at level. Ensure
that the hanging bolt nuts are tightened to fix the hanging bolts.
s
To ensure that drain is discharged, be sure to hang the unit at level using
a level.
Caution:
Be sure to install the unit body at level.
5.3. Changing to rear intake specifications
Changing the control box installation position
1. Remove one of the screws used to fasten the control box (
Fig. 5.3.1
).
2. Remove the control box cover (
Fig. 5.3.1
), then remove the intake sensor (
Fig.
5.3.2
) mounted in the box, and the piping sensor connectors (CN21, CN29),
LEV connector (CN60) and fan connector (FAN1) mounted on the control board.
