7 Automation Using RS-422
Some card behaviors can be controlled using the RS-422 port. This is especially useful for automation systems. For
detailed information about the protocol including the handshaking, please refer to the Oxtel Series Automation
Protocol manual. The "Transport Layer" chapter gives more details about the encapsulation of the command strings
described below.
In the current version, we use the "Load image R0" command from the protocol to load User Presets, Factory Defaults
or ARC Presets.
7.1 Load Image R0 Command
In the original protocol, the R0 command has 2 parameters which have been renamed "Layer" and "Oper_String" for
this application. The supported values for each of these parameters are defined in the table below.

Layer 0 is used to load User Presets or the factory defaults.

Layer 1 is used to load ARC Presets on the HD output
•
Layer 2 is used to load ARC Presets on the SD output.
