3.2 Input Status Monitoring
During automatic input detection (AUTO LED on), the following LEDs provide status
on the composite input signal. When forced mode is on (AUTO LED off), the
following LEDs indicate the selected format. For information on the various
detection modes refer to section 3.3, Input Detection Modes.
NTSC
During automatic input detection, this LED turns on to indicate the
ASD-211i/2D has detected a NTSC composite signal connected to
NTSC/PAL IN
.
PAL
During automatic input detection, this LED turns on to indicate the
ASD-211i/2D has detected a PAL-B,G,H,I composite signal
connected to
NTSC/PAL IN
.
PAL-M
During automatic input detection, this LED turns on to indicate the
ASD-211i/2D has detected a PAL-M composite signal connected to
NTSC/PAL IN
.
PAL-N
During automatic input detection, this LED turns on to indicate the
ASD-211i/2D has detected a PAL-N composite signal connected to
NTSC/PAL IN
.
B&W
The B&W LED, located within the set of INPUT LEDs, will turn on
when the ASD-211i/2D has detected a composite signal with no
color burst.
ERR
The ERR (error) LED will turn on if no input composite signal is
installed. Also, if a standard is forced, say, PAL and the input signal
detected is other than a PAL signal, the ERR LED will turn on or it
may flash. Make sure the composite input signal is properly
connected to
NTSC/PAL IN
and verify for any source equipment
errors.
