CHAPTER 8
RECOVERY SYSTEM
Maintenance/replacement procedures relating to the water recovery
system are described in this chapter In addition Troubleshooting is

8.1 CLEANING THE RECOVERY WATER TANK AND GRATES
1. Bring the machine to the area responsible for disposing of the recovery
water, in compliance with the applicable emission standards.
2. Disengage the hose (1, Figure 8-1 ) from the housing and lift it over the
upper lip of the tank, until its area (2) is free of water, and then keeping it
in this position, unscrew the cap (3).
3. Manually bend the hose in the area (2) to obtain a water-tight bend (13),
and then keeping it bent lower it into the drain area.
4. Gradually (to avoid unwanted splashing) release the bend (13) by
draining the dirty water from the tank in the drain area.
5. By means of the grip (4) lift the tank covers (5).

7. Remove the grate (11) by lifting it, then get rid of any debris and wash it.
Particularly clean the lower hole (12).
8. Wash the recovery water tank (6); also wash the lower side (7) of the
cover and the perimeter seal (8).
Check that the perimeter seal (8) is undamaged: if damaged it can
compromise the proper functioning of the dirty water vacuum.
If necessary, remove the seal (8) disengaging it from the housing, and
then replace it.
CAUTION! Do not damage the float (9).
NOTE : The float must be placed in the lowest part in the tank.
9. Drain all the washing water from the hose (1), then screw on the cap (3)
and engage the hose (1) into the machine's housing.
10. Reinstall the grates in the housing (10) and (11).
11. Close the tank cover (5).
