Configuring PostScript Printing Options for
Macintosh
Once you have installed the PostScript printer driver v. 8.5.1 you can
print to the Color PagePro Ex just as you would print to any other
printer. Simply specify the Color PagePro Ex as the current printer by
clicking on its icon in the Chooser desk accessory, then click the Set
Up button to select the printer’s corresponding PPD. You will need to
choose the Page Setup dialog box from your application’s file menu to
set general printing options for your printer. Additional print options
can then be specified from your application’s Print dialog box.
Note
To select the Color PagePro Ex as the current printer:
1. Make sure that the printer is connected to your network and turned
on.
2. Make sure that AppleTalk is enabled in the control panel.
3. Select Chooser from the Apple menu.
4. Click the
AdobePS
icon to select it.
5. If your network is divided into zones, select the zone in which the
printer is located.
The names of all supported printers in the selected zone are dis-
played in the Chooser window.
6. Select the
Color PagePro Ex
from the list of printers that appears.
If your system administrator has enabled all connections to the
printer, you can select Color PagePro Ex_Direct to print to the direct
connection, Color PagePro Ex_Print to print to the Print queue, or
Color PagePro Ex_Hold to print to the Hold queue.
