In the initial F5 or FF mode, or F5 or FF for every 100
copies made:
1. The Exposure Lamp is turned ON with 58V.
2. A halftone pattern is produced and the PWB-G
output is sampled.
3. If the average does not fall within the target range,
the exposure level is varied.
4. The average does not fall within the target range
(1.11V to 3.33V) even after steps 1 to 3 have been
repeated 15 times.

The UN3 output does not fall within the target range
(2.46V to 2.54V) in the F8 mode.

The output from UN3 remains 0.5V or less, or 4.6V
or more, for a continuous 3-second period 2 sec-
onds after PC Drive Motor M1 has started turning.
