Optional Lower Feeder Unit and Tray 2

Attach the front brackets.

a

Pull open the front door of the 
printer, and then pull out the lower 
tray.

b

Hook the tabs on the two brackets 
into the mounting holes in the 
printer, and then align the screw 
holes in the brackets with the 
screw holes in the lower feeder 
unit.

c

Using a screwdriver, tighten the 
screws enclosed with the lower feeder unit to secure the brackets.

Close the right-side doors.

Attention

If the lower feeder unit is installed, the right-side door of the printer 
opens at the same time that the right door of the lower feeder unit is 
opened. Be sure to close the right door of the lower feeder unit when 
closing the right-side door of the printer.

Slide the tray back into the printer.

Reattach the media support.

13

Reconnect the interface cable.

14

Reconnect the power cord, and turn 
on the printer.

In compliance with UL 
guidelines, “The appliance 
inlet is considered to be the 
main disconnect device.”
