Duplex
option jams. The wrong media is
being used. Use only supported media. See “ Media
Specifications ” on page 23.
Only plain paper, 16-24 lb (60-90 g/m ² )
can be autoduplexed if the optional
duplex unit is installed and the media
type is set properly in the driver.
Make sure that you have not mixed
media types in your multipurpose tray.
Do not duplex thick stock, envelopes,
labels, or transparencies.
For custom-sized media, see “ Media
Specifications ” on page 23 to make
sure the size you are using can be
duplexed
Media may still be
jammed. Recheck the media path inside the
duplex unit and make sure that you
have removed all of the jammed
media.
Media jammed in exit
may be caught in
duplexer. Sometimes when media jams in the
exit path, it is caught in the duplexer,
even if the job is not being duplexed.
Remove it as you would any other
duplex option jam.
