Chapter 4 Maintenance

If Check Wiper Waste Inktank Warning
Appears(UJF-3042MkII/6042MkII only)

Ink sucked up by wiping during head cleaning and other
processes is collected in the wiper waste ink tank at the
rear right of the machine.
This machine keeps track of total waste ink levels from
suction wiping and displays a warning prompting the user
to check once waste ink levels reach a preset level.
This should be used as a guide for replacing the waste ink
tank.

Confirmation Message in LOCAL
mode

The warning message “Check wiper waste
inktank” is displayed.

Press the

key.

Empty the wiper waste ink tank in
accordance with “Discard wiper waste ink”
(

Discard wiper waste ink.

If the “Check wiper waste inktank” warning appears on the
local display, discard the waste ink as follows:

(MENU) in the local mode

Press

to

select

"Maintenance",

then press the

key

• Maintenance menu is displayed.

Press the

key.

• “STATION” will be selected.

Press

to select “REPLACE

WIPER WASTETANK” , then press the

key.

• “REPLACE WIPER WASTETANK ” will be

selected.

Remove the wiper waste ink tank.

Open the door of the wiper waste ink tank
box.

(2)

Hold the waste ink tank and slowly rotate
clockwise to remove the bottle. Be careful to
avoid spilling the ink.

Empty the wiper waste ink tank.

• Please dispose of waste ink in a separate vessel.

• A message is displayed when levels reach 60%

(0.06 L) of the 0.1 L wiper waste ink tank.

• If you continue to use this machine without

discarding waste ink, waste ink may overflow from
the waste ink tank.

• Continuing to use the machine without disposing

of the wiper waste ink may damage the suction
wiper pump.

• Assign waste ink disposal to an industrial waste

disposal contractor.
