Changing Engine Oil, Oil Filter, and Fuel Filter (Onan-Powered Units)

Ref. ST-800 392-E / ST-800 395-B / Ref. ST-183 175-A / S-0842

Stop engine and let cool.

Oil Drain Valve

1/2 ID x 12 in Hose

Oil Filter

Change engine oil and filter accord-
ing to engine owner’s manual.

Close valve and valve cap
before adding oil and
running engine.

Fill crankcase with new oil to full
mark on dipstick (see Section 7.2).

Fuel Filter

Fuel Line

Replace line if cracked or worn.
Install new filter. Wipe up any spilled
fuel.

Start engine, and check for fuel
leaks.

Stop engine, tighten connec-
tions as necessary, and wipe
up fuel.
